French toast, a staple at the breakfast/brunch scene and receives other flavors very well. This particular style of French toast was designed to be tart and sweet. To accomplish that I took texas toast with cranberry relish cream cheese filling, using the cranberry relish recipe from a previous post.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of milk (any milk is fine)
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 12 pieces of texas toast
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 8 oz cranberry relish
- 1 stick of butter
Preparation
- Blend together cranberry relish and cream cheese.
- Whisk together milk, eggs, and cinnamon.
- Heat non stick pan and add 1 tsp of butter.
- Take the dry bread and spread cream cheese on it.
- Dip sandwich in the egg batter and begin to cook bread. About 4 mins each side.
- Let cool for about 1 min then cut diagonally and enjoy!
